What I believe makes a person beautiful is how they interact or spend time with their family. Have you ever met or dated someone who treated their siblings or parents horribly? Arguing over the least little mishaps, spouting put downs left and right, or ignoring personal basic needs. This I can tell you grinds my gears. However, this is why I love my family and the support we give each other. Our house is filled with the love you can feel as soon as you step through the front doors for a visit. Family values.
Well this past summer, my family surprised me with the best birthday gift ever. Let’s just say, they know how to speak my love language. (Quality time & Receiving Gifts) I started my birthday (in July), by making them take me to my favorite restaurant Sleepy Bee. I love this restaurant for all the fresh food and coffee they offer. My dad on the other hand doesn’t quite love it. After eating there once he called me and that store Boujee.

I will take and hold that title well. What can I say, when it comes to my food, I am picky. Well, while eating breakfast my family announced they had a wonderful birthday gift for me that will not arrive for 3 whole months. My first thoughts were that’s gonna take too long. The other half of my thoughts were what did you order that it takes 3 months to be delivered. After my questions ran through my head, I was told I can have a preview of the gift as long as I do not get too excited. Now to truly know me, is to realize that I LOVE gifts and will squeal like a little girl when I am excited. (I made no promises) I took a deep breath and my sister texted me a confirmation of purchase to…. Tickets to Hamilton!

I was so excited. I think I cried. Lol I love this musical! I grew up watching Disney (or any tv show), learning every song, dance, and acting out every scene. As a kid I also learned how to play the viola in school and sing in church. So of course I grew up to love anything and everything music. But I had to wait till October.
When the day arrived I had to make sure everything was perfect. I was digging through my closet for the perfect outfit and shoes. It took me a while but I found it! Once that was done, I took my sister to breakfast. (As you can tell, I love food) We arrived at the restaurant before the crowds, so we got in and out with full bellies. I did not want to see Hamilton on an empty stomach. But when we drove through downtown I felt all the butterflies from excitement. I recorded my anticipation and I think my sister was sick of me by the end of the day.

However, to see the stage first hand (live and in color) was breathtaking. I sang inwardly the entire show. If they needed a backup singer, I would have volunteered quickly. Overall, this gift was one for the record books. I feel so loved that my family knew this would make the most astounding gift I have ever received. I guess I need to start planning a revenge birthday gift for each of them, just something to make them feel as loved as I do. So if you haven’t seen Hamilton the musical yet, I would highly recommend it. The cast, the musicians, everything 5 Stars! #familylove #familybonding
